Very cool! I think that Rotterdam will have to be my international destination for 2010. I try to make at least 1 international trip each year. Unfortunately, my trip to Cancun in May with Rich & Talia (and the gang) will not count. I don't like to count Canada and Mexico as international destinations.
Wouldn't count those either. We love it here, but I might not recommend it as your one stop, there's just not a ton to see in Rotterdam. That said, Amsterdam is just a 40 minute ride away, Delft 10 and the Hague 20. Belgium and North Germany are close, France a bit further...it's a good jumping off point. Let us know, we have couch space!
I was invited to a lighting and interior design trade show being held in Kortrijk. Odd destination but a very cool, quaint little town. I loved Brugge! They had windmills and canals and lots of cool sites.

Very cool... I was in Belgium a few years ago and loved it (Kortrijk and Brugge). We had debated a train ride to Amsterdam but it never happened.
ReplyDeleteNever heard of Kortrijk, how'd you decide on going there?
